Wendi ‘Rubee’ Rose has been involved in music from an early age. She started directing her local church youth choir at age 14 and went on to serve as the Choir Director of one of the UK’s top choirs, The London Community Gospel Choir, in 1998.  During her tenure as choir director she travelled extensively with the choir across Europe, Japan and even the Caribbean.  She has led the choir at many prestigious events including the unveiling of the Nelson Mandela statue in the presence of the great man himself as well as a number of events in the presence of the Royal family, including Her Royal Highness the late Queen Elizabeth II.  She is no stranger to TV performances either having appeared with the choir on numerous TV shows from Top of the Pops to Later…With Jools Holland. She currently runs her own community choir at a performing arts academy in London. 

Wendi has gone on to being a sought after and well-respected session singer and has toured around the world. She has worked with top artists from Mariah Carey to Sam Smith and has sung on studio recordings of many major artists including Stormzy.  Wendi has toured with The Gorillaz, Spiritualized, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and many, many more! She has toured with Blur for many years and continues to do so to present day.
